I've been copyright striked.

Posted by KiNGTiG4R - 3 weeks ago

So, unfortunately, I have been copyright striked, and I will not be able to post anything on here until either my account is allowed to post stuff again, or I get a new account.

Very sorry, guys.

First of all, why did you exactly get 'copyright-striked'?

Second, I'm not a moderator of any type, so I wouldn't know what to tell you with 'certainty', but as far as I'm 'aware', there's a 'formulary' that you can fill to 'appeal' your ban (that you recieve via PM and that an actual moderator of the Audio Portal/an administrator will check-up), have you recieved it? And if so, have you closed it? (Because in case that you've closed it, don't get me wrong, but you've f***** up.)

After trying to upload a new song to Newgrounds, which was a remix of "I'm Good" by David Guetta, I had been striked off of it. Now, I will admit, I did use the vocals from that song in my remix, but it's a remix so ofc I used them. Also, I did try to appeal against it, saying it was a remix, but it got denied. So yea, now I can't post anything on Newgrounds.

@KiNGTiG4R It's said in the 'Audio-Submission-Guidelines' that "Covers and Remixes of existing songs are accepted if you have permission from the original artist or the song is Public Domain..." And correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I'm 'conscious', "I'm good" by "David Guetta" isn't under Public Domain, and I'm pretty sure about that you didn't obtain any kind of 'permission' from part of David Guetta, nor from 'Eiffel 65' (i.e, the original group creator of "'I'm blue") to make a remix, so... yeah. I'm sorry, but it is what it is.

Besides, you should be' aware' already about the mere 'fact' that the "Ignorance of rules isn't an excuse to not follow them...", so... yup. It's basically **your** fault for not taking the time to 'give' them, at least, a little 'glance' (which wouldn't take you longer than, at maximum, 5 minutes.)

Anyhow... Topic settled. Try to be more 'careful', for next time.
